Dan Berkowitz University of Iowa

Dan Berkowitz is a professor of communications with the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Iowa. Berkowitz has research interests that focus on the sociology of news, especially the relationship between media and community, local television, news as myth, and the media/terrorism interface. He is also associate dean for student and administrative affairs in the UI Graduate College.
